Travel Itinerary

Day 1

Akwaaba! (Welcome) You’re finally here! After getting settled, we will get to know each other over laughs and incredible Ghanaian cuisine. As a group, we will enjoy a welcome dinner and start off our Ghana experience together.

Day 2

The best way to get to know a destination is by learning about its history. Today, we will immerse ourselves in the local culture by visiting historical landmarks, sampling traditional foods, learning about the people and getting our first taste of Ghanaian hospitality, visiting the world famous Makola market, getting custom-made clothes by local tailors, and stopping at Independence Square to take in the amazing view.

Day 3

Today, it is your free day to enjoy Afrochella, you have friends already – enjoy the incredible line-up of emerging talents in art, culture, music and fashion. Check out the bespoke African art & textiles, crafts, apparel, the pop-up dining installations and much more while on the festival grounds. Enjoy the music at this event to remember.

Day 4

Today, we learn how to cook a traditional Ghanaian meal - you probably have heard of jollof rice - well today is your chance to cook and sample it. You will also get creative by printing your own batik fabric to take home. When this day ends, you will have made new local friends.

Day 5

Today, we’ll be taking a journey to Cape Coast, a town not too far from Accra, known for its role in the Atlantic slave trade. We’ll visit the Cape Coast Castle and the Door of No Return, which is believed to be one of the final exit points for many men, women and children from Africa to the Americas. You’ll walk away with a history lesson you won’t get in any textbook.

Day 6

Today you will be visiting Kakum National Park - the day is all about venturing into the tropics for an adventurous experience; wait until you walk on the famous canopy walkway in the middle of a forest.

Day 7

Bring your sunscreen because today is all about the beach! We’ll be heading out of Accra and to the gorgeous Ada Beach for a bit of sun and relaxation. In the evening, we'll come together one last time for our signature farewell dinner. Let our last meal together as friends be a time to reflect on the unforgettable week Accra gave you, and for the memorable experience you gave yourself.

Day 8

We know saying goodbye is never easy. The week may have flown by, but the memories and friendships you've made will last forever. Today we will fly back home with lots of memories of a true Ghanaian experience!

We look forward to welcoming you to Ghana
