DISNEYLAND PARIS

Round up the family. We have a brand new destination. Ready your adrenalin.

The Disneyland Paris entertainment theme park is in Chessy, France, 32 km east of Paris. This magical world invites you to explore the two parks loved by millions of people around the world: the Disneyland Park & Walt Disney Studios Park.

Wreck your nerves on some of the more than 50 roller coaster rides here. Movie characters such as Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck are also here to meet you and the kids.

This Paris destination allows you to give your loved one an intimate experience in the City of Lights, and your little ones the thrills and meet-ups with their favourite Disney characters such as Cinderella and Jack Sparrow. All travellers 17 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

To help you plan your Disneyland Paris vacation, we dug up some best tips for you to consider.

Where is it?

Disneyland is located outside the city centre - about 30 min drive east of Paris. We're glad to inform you that the RER train is the best way to get there.

Before booking Disneyland Paris vacation:

Do I need a Visa?:

Visas may be necessary if travelling outside from South Africa. We assist with helping you gather the correct documents - but you need to submit the travel documents to the consulate in person. Have more questions on visas? We're one inbox away: +27 79 451 0323 / travel@yellowhattravels.com

Download this:

The official Disneyland Paris app is your friend. Helps you navigate the park, check wait times, tells you when and where the shows/performances are. Also make dining reservations from this app. Find this app under the Before You Arrive tab at www.disneylandparis.com

Skip the queue:

Consider buying a FastPass: FastPasses allow you to skip the regular line for certain rides and attractions.

They can be purchased at the park or through the Disneyland Paris app.

How tall is the kid?

If you have little ones with you, make note of the height restrictions on certain rides to avoid disappointment before going to the parks.

Bonjour:

French is the official language in France - so it's a good idea to learn some basic French phrases to help you navigate your way around. Merci.

Consider this:

Purchase travel insurance to protect yourself from things such as lost luggage or medical emergencies.

In Disneyland Paris:

Take care:

You and your family will be doing a lot of walking - bring comfy shoes for yours feet. Stay hydrated and bring snacks. Plus, bringing your own snacks can save you money and provide a quick energy boost while waiting on queues.

Weather-wise:

Dress appropriately: the weather in Paris can be unpredictable, so make sure to pack clothing for all types of weather, including rain gear, for yourself and the family.

Are we Ubering?

Rather not. The RER train is a super easy and cheap way to get around in Paris.

The Marne-la-Vallée train goes directly to Disneyland Paris park.

Money-saving tips:

Bring your own snacks and drinks: food and drinks inside the park can be tasty but quite expensive, so consider bringing your own snacks or a packed lunch to save money.

There are designated picnic areas where you can enjoy your own food with your family.

Are you dining?:

If you're planning to, please make prior online reservations for dinner at Disneyland Paris using the app.

The restaurants at Disneyland Paris can be very popular, and without a reservation, you may have to wait in long lines or risk not being able to dine at your preferred restaurant.

Is that Buzz Lightyear and Woody from "Toy Story"?

There are many popular Disney characters that you and the kids can expect to meet at Disneyland Paris. To book a character experience, you can visit the Disneyland Paris website or mobile app. Keep in mind that some experiences may require an additional fee, such as character dining or VIP experiences.

This will be a vacation you and your family will hold close to your hearts for a long time. To see the experiences that await you in Paris, please check out your itinerary summary by clicking on See Itinerary button.

Disneyland Park & Walt Disney Park. What's the Difference?

The Disneyland Park is the main park with rides and parades suitable for the whole family. For example, this is where you will see and walk into the pink iconic castle. The Disneyland Park is a good choice for you if you're travelling with kids and seeing the Disney parade is on your list.

Also, the Disneyland Park is designed to transport you to a magical world of fairy tales, while Walt Disney Studios Park focuses on the art of filmmaking and provides you with an inside look at the world of movie-making.
